Microsoft Office Accounting 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) provides the latest updates for the U.S. version and the UK version of Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2009 and Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2009.
This service pack also includes stability improvements and performance improvements.
Issues that are fixed
The following issues are fixed in Accounting 2009 SP1 for Accounting Professional 2009 and for Accounting Express 2009.
Issues that apply to the U.S. version of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009 and to the UK version of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009
* You experience some database performance issues and some database stability issues. These issues occur because lots of invalid records are in the database.
* The database size unexpectedly increases because lots of invalid records are added to the database. Therefore, the database size may exceed the Microsoft SQL Server Express database size limitation.
Issues that apply only to the UK version of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009
* You cannot change a director from national insurance (NI) letter A to NI letter J in the Payroll application.
* Certain general warning messages and certain validation messages that are required for the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) standard payroll accreditation are not provided.
* You calculate a paycheck, and then you edit some employee slips or some current pay slips without recalculating the amounts. When you do this, you can unexpectedly run the Period Closing function in the Payroll application.
