Instead, utilizing a patent-pending technology, it enables a third-party backup software to use your video recorder as a regular tape drive. Microsoft Windows XP and later operating systems are shipped with a program called Backup Utility, which is compatible with Firestreamer and which you can use to back up and restore your files and folders with Firestreamer.
