Nero MediaHome CE is a program for streaming videos, music and images to UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) equipment and Nero ShowTime 2 CE.

Nero MediaHome CE features:

- Transcodes your media file on-the-fly into the format your UPnP device understands (Nero Digital, AVI, WMV, ASF, MOV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Nero Digital)
- Parsing of media files for gathering metadata like the song's artist, album, title, duration, bit rate, color depth, resolution etc
- Nero MediaHome retrieves metadata from the following formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, Nero Digital, AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WAV, WMA, WMV, ASF
- Direct incorporation of playlists as directories (both PLS and M3U playlist files are supported)
- Automatic categorization of user's media: first by type ('All Video', 'All Audio' and 'All Photos'), second by artist, album and genre. Additionally a folder 'All Playlists' allows direct access to all playlists found all over the shared directory hierarchy
- Streaming of premium content directly from the internet to all UPnP devices and Nero ShowTime (Nero Premium Web Services).
