diskMETA Pro is a web-search-engine-based tool offering instant full text search across hard disks through gigabites of indexed data on local hard drives and in the network.
How does it work:
- diskMETA indexes all files in the folders selected by the user only ONCE ,
with no limitations on their size,
- you type in the query and get the results immediately, styles like in
web-search engines, i.e. with abstracts, quotations and query highlighting,
sorted by relevance, date, word significance, location in document.
- the "native" applications of the found files are launched automatically,
or the text can be reconstructed for a quick viewing.
Since the product is developed on the basis of a powerful web search engine
used nation-wide, the search time normally doesn't exceed ONE SECOND.
Other advanced features are:
- Support of .txt, .html, .doc, .rtf, .xls, .pdf, .rar, .zip and other user-
defined text formats
- Advanced search option supported by Boolean, date and proximity operators
- Morphological support for English, Spanish, German
- Max. possible index size up to 1,000,000 files
- Unlimited number of indexes.
