It allows the choosing, disabling and configuring of screen savers. It was designed for use when using media programs that don't want to be interrupted by the screen saver e.g. DVD/video players and TV cards.
If you have a TV card or any other apps that you don't want the screensaver butting into then SS+ is for you. It can stop the screen saver with a click and then restart it when you've finished watching TV or whatever!
